LNHA invites those who desire to become a certified activity director to attend a four-day course on October 15-18, 2018, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge, LA. The certification course will teach attendees how to identify the activity needs of each resident and will share creative techniques and strategies to implement when planning, developing and delivering quality life-enriching activities for residents in a nursing facility. During the seminar, attendees will complete an on-site clinical practicum at a licensed nursing facility. The deadline to register for this event is October 10. Taking this class every two years as a "refresher” is suggested due to ever-changing policies and procedures.
