(Baton Rouge – October 8, 2015) The Louisiana Nursing Home Association (LNHA), a nonprofit organization representing more than 250 nonprofit and for-profit nursing facilities and assisted living communities, recently completed its board elections and two new board members were elected to one year terms. LNHA’s board of directors is comprised of 19 members. The Board carries out the objectives of the Association, upholding its mission, purpose, values and direction. The newly elected board members will begin their term on October 14, 2015.

The new members of the board include:

· Scott Quirk, Board Member of Region I
Scott H. Quirk is co-owner and managing operator of Plantation Management Company. In 2002, he received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Louisiana State University. In 2003, he became a Louisiana licensed nursing facility administrator. His background in managing a chain of nursing facilities in Louisiana gives him the ability to advise his administrators in management best practices.

· Matt Machen, Vice President of Region VI
Matt Machen is the Louisiana Division President for Senior Care Centers. Matt received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northwestern State University and began his career as a licensed administrator in 1994 at Care One Management. He has served on two LNHA committees including the Agency Liaison Committee and the Legislative Committee. In 2002, Matt was named Administrator of the Year by Louisiana Nursing Home Association.

"These new members will play a vital role within the association by bringing new perspectives that are critical in ensuring LNHA serves the needs of our membership,” said Joseph Donchess, executive director of LNHA. "I am excited to work with both of them and have them on our leadership team.”
