LNHA offers educational opportunities for Social Workers at Spring Conference & Fall Convention. LNHA also offers an annual 2-Day Social Service Director Workshop that is designed to orient Social Workers to the long term care setting. Focus is given to regulatory issues, documentation, fraud and abuse issues, admission and discharge issues along with the unique social demands of each resident and families in the nursing home setting. These programs are approved for continuing education credits by the National Association of Social Workers-Louisiana Chapter.
